I ♥ this...

So I found a new love... It kills me, makes me sweat,
makes me super achy & sore, and 5 minutes into it I cannot
wait for it to be over with! How could I heart something
that sounds so bad??? Because it's literally kicking
my booty into shape! It's the BEST hurt & it WORKS!
Without further adieu, I give you...

*Found at your local Target for $9!
All you need is this video, a mat & 5lb hand weights.
Try it, you'll thank me! ;)

Tortilla Flatts...

Jared's fabulous cousin Sarah came to visit from Cali
so we were showing her around. We all took a little
trip up to the GORGEOUS Canyon Lake area to
eat at Tortilla Flatts. It's a little place that's been
there for AGES & has really great food. You mostly
go for the drive, which ended up being the prettiest
I have seen the desert in years! The lake is at
100% capacity. WHOO HOO! I'm so ready for the
lake this summer! :) Anyway, it was SO green and
there were wild flowers covering the mountains.
I wish AZ always looked like that!
It was a fun & relaxing day...

Jared, Me, & Sarah

Me, Sarah, & Alex-ann

The poor dusty old deer head, a rattle snake skin
& the thousands of old dollars left from many
visitors over the years...

The dollars cover about every square inch of the place!

Sorry it's sideways! LOL
This is what all the bathroom stalls are painted like!
Each one is a different dress color- we got a
kick out of it....cheesy, I know.

Lame!

So I will be the FIRST to admit what a lame blogger I have been lately...or well, OK for months! All I can say is- I'll try harder :)

Happy Birthday Thumper!!!

(First family picture...not even a minute old!)
Graham today is your very 1st birthday. I know you won’t realize what a special day it is, or understand why we put a big cupcake in front of you and let you go crazy eating it (instead of just giving you a taste of frosting like usual). I know you will probably not pay any attention to the decorations we put up, or even wonder why all the people who love you have gathered together for the night. But we will do all of this, because we are celebrating you! I never could have imagined how much my life would change when you came into this world. It was not something I even knew would happen.
Now… I love your Uncle Jared like nothing I could ever describe to you, but the love I feel for you is unlike anything I have ever known. The moment you came into this world, I was right there! I watched your brave mother show strength I’ve never seen from her. I was even able to cut your umbilical cord… That was reserved for your Daddy, but in a moment of pure joy, and great emotion- he let me. I was officially Auntie Meg. I feel a special bond with you, not only from that- but being able to be there and see you take your first breath, to see you look at your Mommy for the first time, to hear your cry… those are priceless things I will cherish forever.

(Auntie Meg & Graham- Newport Beach 2009)

You changed a lot for our whole family… You are the very first grandchild born into the Montgomery side. That was an important right of passage, and I’ll have you know that we were all were so excited you were a BOY! We had nicknames for you before you were even born! I gave you mine the night of your birth. Your mom was hooked up to a fetal monitor, and there was your little heartbeat...thump-thump-thump-thump, thump-thump-thump-thump… and so you will always be -My Little Thumper. You will also be known as Graham-Bo, Grahammy, Teddy Graham, Grammers, & Gilligan (at least those are all we’ve come up with so far!)!!!

(Grahammy giving us a laugh!)

We could not love you more, or want to spoil, or kiss, or hug, or play with, or ANYTHING more than we want to do for you. Graham, you are the most precious person (you make me so excited for the things I will get to experience as a mother some day)!!! The things you teach us, and the joy you bring to your family is more than we could have ever asked for. You have the BEST laugh, you have a smile that could melt the hardest heart. You have such a sweet little disposition. You constantly change, and we all watch in wonder at what you will do next. My favorite things right now is that I taught you to say “Uh-oh!”, and you do it all the time, and it’s SOOO cute! There are a million things in store for you as you grow and learn. I am so excited to see all you will do, and the path your life will take. Just don’t grow up TOO fast ok!??
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAHAM!!!! ~Love, Auntie Meg

There are no words...

My heart is aching, and I am in disbelief. Many of you may know my friend Kari Barnes Stock. Her husband Skylar was killed Monday night in a tragic accident. I cannot begin to express my sorrow for her, and her 3 beautiful children. I ask that you keep the Stock family in your hearts, minds, and prayers as they face this most difficult time.

An account has been setup at Wells Fargo in the name of Stock Family Donation Fund if anyone would like to contribute. Acct #7218152986

Below is the only article I know of about the accident:

Not stealing my pictures!

OK ladies! A while back I asked if anyone knew how to make your blog have the thing on it where if you right click on a picture it won't let anyone & random strangers save the picture to their computer... Well I can be somewhat technologically handicapped sometimes. I got the directions from my dear friend Alissa & I tried it but it didn't work. Well, I didn't do it right! So, now that I learned what I did wrong I have applied it to my blog & it works! So you will see pictures again VERY SOON! Thank you Alissa!!! You saved me!

If you would like the code, it won't let you actually post it on blogger since it's an HTML format code, so e-mail me & I'll send it to you!

Just a few...

On this Thanksgiving day, as I sit here at 2AM
on my downtime at work- I would like to share
just a few things I am thankful for today. They are:
I HAVE a job, and even though I'd rather not
be here right now, I do have a job... My most incredible
husband Jared- who is unfailingly loving, loyal, patient,
supportive, and makes me feel like I have a place in this world...
My beautiful nephew, and his kissable cheeks... A brother
who is standing for what he believes in, and finding himself
in the process... A family that is in good health... Two furry
muts that would give their left paw for some Turkey today...
Parents who love me for me, no matter what I do, or the
choices I make... Friends who I could call on at ANY time,
for ANYthing... Vehicles I own free & clear, and are dependable...
A home that may throw me for a loop sometimes, but within
it's walls I find sanctuary... Chocolate- GOD BLESS the
genious who discovered chocolate... Great minds of the past,
whose words have the ability to enrich & enlighten my life-
through a book, poem, or song... Gossip magazines, I get a kick
out of seeing such idiocy, and loving how normal my life is...
Vacation, without it I would truly go insane... Lotion, I
could not live a day without it... My cell phone- somehow
I lived 16 years of life without one, and now have become
so dependent of it, I don't know how I ever lived without one...
Selfless people, like the couple who adopted a beautiful
baby at my work, and took him heart condition & all, after
another family didn't want to deal with his "issues"... My
co-workers, most of whom are constant examples of strength,
wisdom, and compassion... Blogging Queen's- I love to
blog surf, and come upon your silly posts that inspire me
to be a better blogger... My siblings, there is never a dull
moment... My In-laws, who have accepted & loved me
since the 1st time I walked through their door as a shy
17 year old hopelessly in love with their son... Twizzlers...
My parents (all 4 of them) who are amazing examples
to Jared & I of what wonderful lasting marriages can
really be like... Lastly today I am thankful for life, I see
instances where we forget how truly fragile life is- it's
a gift, to be cherished on a daily basis. I am so thankful
for my wonderful, busy, chaotic, blissful, merry-go-round,
topsy-turvy, exciting, hakuna ma-ta-ta, filled with love LIFE!
Happy Thanksgiving, and may you all be blessed
with many wonderful things that enhance your life and
give you reason to reflect and be thankful on this day.
